Easier and faster content

Do you ever get stuck in a rut when it comes to creating content?

It’s easy to stare for ages at a blinking cursor and wonder what to write. That’s if you even have the time in your schedule to stare at the cursor.

Business owners are busier than ever right now, and I’m sure it’s no different for you.
It’s not easy to write content, even at the best of times. You need to think about what your audience is interested in, what you’re going to write, the format of your content and more.
I wanted to share with you a tip that might help you to find creating content easier in your business. That tip is to create content in cycles.

So what is a content cycle?

A content cycle is when you split all the content that you want to create into a specific time period - e.g. 30 days or 90 days. Your content is created using a calendar that you’ll use throughout the cycle.

Your calendar will break down the content topics. And the tasks needed for the month. These could include writing a blog post, editing the post and publishing a blog post. Then there could be social media posts that promote your new blog content, as well as one or more emails to your audience.

Let’s say you wanted to create content in 30 day cycles. This would give you an opportunity to focus on one main topic each month. During the month, you can break down the main topic into smaller bite-sized pieces that form blog posts, emails, videos, social media posts or podcast episodes.

Having one main topic each month makes creating content easier. You have a clear focus and all the content you create during the month has a powerful synergy. Your audience will enjoy it too, particularly as you’ll likely be talking about problems that they’re struggling with right now.

Of course, you don’t need to choose a monthly cycle. You could choose a 90 day cycle instead. This is perfect when you want to talk about a few different topics, but still to have a clear organisational process.

Content cycles help you focus more clearly on creating content. You can plan out your content in advance, knowing clearly the topics that you’re going to write about. It’s easy for you to stay on track because all of your tasks are listed out in your content calendar.
If you want to create content on a more consistent basis, make sure you give content cycles a try. In my opinion, there’s no easier way to fall in love with creating content.
